Join us in honoring someone special in your life living with FPIES!
Individuals living with FPIES often face the difficult reality of missing out on social and dining experiences. Many find themselves needing to bring their own food, while others choose to skip meals altogether. For some, this means avoiding social gatherings entirely, which can be deeply isolating.
The Take A Seat for FPIES challenge invites patients, families and friends to create virtual dining experiences themed around your favorite occasions—be it a birthday bash, a festive holiday gathering, a heartfelt religious ceremony, a wedding celebration, a sports banquet, or even a cozy coffee catch-up with friends. It is an opportunity for patients, parents and participants to select their dream dining experience and invite 50 guests to their table to learn more about their story, their needs and hopes for the future.
We invite patients, families and friends to #TakeASeat4FPIES and join us in raising awareness and promoting inclusivity for FPIES at the” food allergy table” as we embark on our 15 year anniversary as an advocacy organization. Together, let’s shine a spotlight on the 10.5 million pediatric and adult patients living with FPIES worldwide. Let’s unite to achieve our bold goal of raising $500,000 by setting 200 tables, each accommodating 50 guests. Here's how it works:
1. Click the “Get Started” tab below
2. Complete the open fields
3. Add your name, your story and photo to be included on your fundraiser page
4. Browse and choose a table that speaks to your heart
5. Hit “Submit”
6. With 24-48 hours, you will receive an email from IFPIES with a link to your table and seats
7. Share your link on your social media platforms, email and contact lists inviting your guests to “TakeASeat4FPIES”
This is more than just a meal; it’s a chance to share experiences, build connections, and raise awareness about FPIES while surrounded by the love and support of those who matter most. Each table offers 50 seats, with a suggested donation of $50 each. Your support helps IFPIES to continue providing free resources, further educate patients and clinicians, advance research in diagnostics and treatment and raise awareness of your personal journey. Why is this important?
Patients with FPIES often face challenges when dining out or attending social events, needing to bring their own food to ensure safety. Through this campaign, we aim to educate others by inviting them to *take a seat* at our table, advocating for much-needed funding for research and support that will enhance the quality of life for those living with FPIES.
In honor of our 15 years serving the FPIES community, we are setting our sights high with a goal to raise $500,000, for the 10.53 million patients currently battling FPIES, worldwide. We want to put a face to the name, and invite others who may be unfamiliar with FPIES to ‘Take a Seat” at our table, to learn and support the growing needs of patients and families navigating FPIES. Together we can put a end to isolation, fear and create safety and inclusion, while shedding light on the many opportunities, celebrations and social outings FPIES patients often miss. This is a chance for your FPIES loved one to create their table and invite you safely and joyfully into their world.
